Tuesday
The Eta Aquarid meteor shower has been peaking since last night in the area of the Aquarius constellation. If you can make it out to Lake Storey tomorrow night, the odds are good you will get a glimpse. Since today and tomorrow are forecast to be in the 70s and 80s, it is the perfect time to get outside after dark.
Wednesday
The Beanhive recently advertised “espresso soda” on their Facebook page: “If you like iced coffee, this might be your new go-to. Add some vanilla and a little cream, and it tastes like a float that has melted just the right amount.” This is a good new experiment to propel yourself over hump day.
Thursday
Enjoy “Throwback Thursday” with Coney Island. Haven’t been there before? The menu features hot dogs many, many different ways. Price ranges are comparable to the Gizmo but of course they don’t take Dining Dollars. Eating there feels like going back in time through several decades at once.
Friday
Starting with an opening reception from 6-8 p.m. at the Galesburg Civic Art Center, senior Gabe Moreno and Molly Olson ’13 will have their artwork featured. The Civic Art Center is on Main St. near Cherry St. with easy access to food along the way. Regular visiting hours for the Art Center are Tuesday through Friday 10:30 a.m–4:30 p.m. and Saturdays 10:30 a.m.–3 p.m.
