It may not be the weekend yet, but Friday makes it worth looking forward to. Here’s a list of all the events happening on campus:
Iphigenia 2.0
7:30 p.m., Studio Theater
This particular production opens at the same time on Thursday so perhaps attend then or Saturday to get a viewing in. It’s directed by junior Kathleen Gullion and functions as a continuation of the Greek tragedy Agamemnon. The cast assures us it will be a performance that defies expectation.
Senior Art Show
All day, CFA Lobby
As a culmination of seniors Alyssa Kennamer and Biyi Wen‘s undergraduate work, media art and a video installation will be set up in CFA all weekend. Kennamer is away at Green Oaks this term, so it will be interesting to see what she has been working on there brought here. There will be an artists’ talk at 5 p.m.
Spongetivities
4:30 to 7 p.m., campus housing lawns
The RAs and Campus Life office have organized a series of water activities to mess around and de-stress from what has amounted to a stressful term.
Common Ground Drag Show
7 p.m., Taylor Lounge
Interested in the culture of drag? Want to know more about it? There will be a workshop at 5 p.m. with a show showcasing student talent and personality at 7 p.m. Come to support your peers and embrace identities of all sorts!
When the East Embraces the West: A Voice Recital
7 p.m., Kresge Recital Hall
Senior Anna Gong has been researching Chinese Folk music and contemporary western musical styles all year. This Friday she will be presenting pieces that “combine the characteristics of Chinese music and contemporary compositional techniques”.
